Labor Relations for Practitioners

Summary:
The Labor Relations for Practitioners course helps participants understand the key functions, players, and definitions related to the Labor Management Relations (LMR) practitioner field; strategies for understanding the structure of the Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Statutes; phases and elements of the collective bargaining process; avoidance of Unfair Labor Practices (ULPs); and tools for interpreting, applying, and enforcing the terms of a labor agreement.  This course encompasses the following modules:

• Functions of Labor Management Relations Practitioners
• Structure and Operation of the Law
• Rights and Obligation to Bargain
• Impact and Implementation Bargaining
• Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) Mechanism and Procedures
• Handling Grievances
• Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
• Interest-Based Bargaining (IBB)

Cancellation Policy:
Course cancellation requests received 14 or more days prior to the class start date will be given a refund of the class fee minus a $50 cancellation fee. Course cancellation requests received less than 14 days prior to the class start date, will be charged the full course fee or a course substitution may be made. Attendee substitutions will be permitted up to the class start date.
